"Men have maintained power over women throughout the history of our country, and men still hold a large majority of power in government today. This ongoing system of patriarchy is an insult to our nation’s ideals, because liberty and justice for all cannot exist when half our citizens lack fair representation. As a man who values fairness and equality, I therefore pledge to prioritize support for female political candidates whose views are similar to my own. I promise to continue supporting female candidates to the best of my ability until women hold 50% or more of all seats in government."
